Year of the Raven is the first 4-track instrumental lo-fi electronic album from Sage of Ravens that takes heavy inspiration from Japanese culture. The music is chill and atmospheric, with a focus on creating a relaxing and introspective listening experience. However, there is also a melancholic undertone, reflecting on the less glamorous aspects of life. The album is a reminder that life isn’t all good or bad, but a mix of both.

The EP starts with the upbeat, danceable “Yume no Seirei” before moving on to the more muted, nostalgic “VHS Memory”. The EP then slides into the dark and mysterious Abbadon before finishing on the ennui heavy Lycoris Field.

Year of the Raven is a unique and introspective album that is a treat for fans of lo-fi electronic music and Japanese culture.
